LegioLog Compleet rental terms
Version 1.0, 3 November 2026. These rental terms apply in addition to the general terms and conditions of LegioLog (Basepay B.V., trading as LegioLog, established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 42081353) to orders for which the rental option "LegioLog Compleet" has been chosen. In case of conflict, these rental terms prevail as regards the rental of the Kit. This English version is binding. Translations are provided for information only.
1. What the rental option includes
1.1 With LegioLog Compleet the Customer pays no purchase price for the Kit. The Customer pays one monthly amount that covers both the use of the Kit and the subscription to the Service.
1.2 The Kit (sensors, gateway(s), NFC tags and accessories) remains the property of Basepay B.V. The Customer receives the Kit on loan for the duration of the agreement and takes good care of it.
1.3 In all other respects, the general terms and conditions apply in full: the Kit is supplied preconfigured, changing the configuration or firmware outside the Service is not permitted (article 4.5 of the general terms), and the Customer provides what article 4.3 of the general terms requires (including power and an internet connection for the gateway and a phone with NFC).
2. Term and cancellation
2.1 The agreement is entered into for a minimum term of 12 months, counted from the delivery date of the Kit or from a later installation date agreed in writing.
2.2 After the minimum term, the agreement continues and can be cancelled monthly as of the end of a calendar month.
2.3 Cancelling during the minimum term is not possible, except under the logbook promise (article 6) or termination under the law or the general terms and conditions.
3. Payment
3.1 Payment is made monthly in advance by automatic collection. The first payment is made when the agreement is concluded and sets up a direct debit or card mandate; the Kit is shipped once that first payment has succeeded.
3.2 The Customer may choose to pay annually in advance; in that case eleven times the monthly amount applies for each period of twelve months.
3.3 Price changes follow the rules in the general terms and conditions and do not apply to current agreements during the minimum term.
3.4 All amounts are in euro and exclude VAT, unless stated otherwise. For business customers in another EU member state the VAT is reverse-charged where the law allows this, as under article 6.1 of the general terms; the Customer provides a valid VAT number for that purpose.
4. Non-payment
4.1 If a collection fails, the Customer receives a reminder and the collection is presented again.
4.2 After two consecutive failed collections, LegioLog may limit access to the Service to read-only. The logbook and the recorded entries always remain visible and exportable for the Customer; they are never made inaccessible as a means of pressure.
4.3 If payment is still not made after a formal reminder, LegioLog may terminate the agreement and reclaim the Kit. The remaining instalments of the minimum term remain due, without prejudice to the Customer's right to dispute this.
5. Maintenance, defects and replacement
5.1 During the agreement, LegioLog replaces defective parts of the Kit free of charge, unless the defect results from intent, careless use or use contrary to the instructions or article 4.5 of the general terms. Changing batteries as described in the instructions is part of normal use.
5.2 The Customer reports defects or loss as soon as possible to support@legiolog.nl. In case of loss or irreparable damage due to causes on the Customer's side, LegioLog may charge the replacement value of the part concerned at the rates made known in advance (Annex A).
6. The logbook promise for rental
6.1 If the logbook promise applies to the order (as stated in the terms of the offer concerned), the following applies to the rental option: if there is no working, filling digital logbook 60 days after the start date (article 2.1, subject to the limits in the terms of that offer), the Customer may terminate the agreement. Amounts already paid are refunded once the complete Kit has been received back; LegioLog arranges and pays for the return shipment. The exclusions in the terms of that offer (circumstances on the Customer's side) apply in full.
7. End of the agreement
7.1 When the agreement ends, the Customer returns the complete Kit within 14 days using the return label provided by LegioLog; the return shipment is at LegioLog's expense.
7.2 Instead of returning it, the Customer may take over the Kit for the takeover amount applicable at that time, which LegioLog provides on request.
7.3 LegioLog may refurbish returned Kits and use them again; the keys and configuration of the previous user are fully replaced in the process.
7.4 After the agreement ends, the retention and export rules of the general terms and conditions apply to the data; the Customer can export the complete logbook beforehand.
LegioLog is a recording and alerting tool that supports your water safety plan for legionella; it does not take over any legal obligation.
