What LegioLog is and is not

What the app and the sensors do for you, and which legal obligations remain your own.

It is important to know exactly what you can expect from LegioLog, especially when an inspector asks about it.

What LegioLog is

A recording and alerting tool. It supports carrying out your management plan:

• The sensors measure the temperature of your pipes a few times an hour and warn you of deviations.
• Flushing is recorded, and with the green tick it is also verified by the sensor, with temperature evidence.
• The logbook records everything permanently and turns it into an inspection report with one click.

What LegioLog is not

• It does not take over the legally required measurements. The prescribed measurements at the tap still apply; the app plans and records them, you carry them out. See The monthly measurement.
• Not an accredited measurement. The sensor readings are continuous monitoring, not a laboratory measurement.
• Not a risk assessment and not a management plan. You have those drawn up by a specialist company.
• Flushing itself stays with you. Flushing remains work done by people; LegioLog makes it possible to show that it was done.
